Seven out of the 11 transition students skied this past week at Mohawk Ski Area. Two of the students had never been on skis before and both were on the ski lifts and skiing well by the end of the night. They were very excited to have Mr. Noyes join them. Despite lots of questions and hypothesizing about Mr. Noyes’ skiing ability due to his “old age” by several of the E3 students, this senior citizen skier showed them how it is done! Jess’ words to Mr. Noyes on the chairlift captured the experience beautifully: “Even though we probably can’t get hot cocoa because of COVID, this is still like the best day ever!” The group is looking forward to having more trips to the mountain before the end of the season!
