Glenholme is a therapeutic boarding and day school that serves students, ages10-22, with social, emotional and academic needs. It is a co-educational, year-round program with rolling admissions. Although students can enroll at any time of the year, most students enter school either at the beginning of the school year in September or after the holiday break in January.

Although the majority of students are residential, Glenholme will consider students as a day placement. The school also offers a seven-week summer program that runs from early July to late August.

It is assumed that parents initially come themselves so that they can speak more freely with receptionists about the future student. Parents and legal guardians are welcome to call Admissions to find out more about Glenholme’s academic and therapeutic program. Campus tours can also be scheduled at that time. It is suggested that parents come by themselves initially so they are able to talk more freely with Admissions about the prospective student.

Inquiries are also welcome from clinicians, educational consultants, family friends, hospitals, residential treatment centers and Wilderness programs.

Our school accepts students with the following diagnoses:

Anxiety, Depression, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Disruptive Behavior Disorder, Specific Developmental Disorder, Learning Disorders, Mood disorders, Non-Verbal Learning Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, and Tourette’s Syndrome.

Exclusionary Behaviors: Adjudicated youth, those requiring 24 hour medical/psychiatric care, pregnancy, fire setting, substance abuse/addiction, sexualized behavior, suicidal history and students who have a history of AWOL or physically aggressive behavior.

The admissions team will review each case on an individualized basis.
