The 15th Annual Canine Collection will be held at The Glenholme School on Oct. 18. Last year 25 families brought their pets to campus to compete for a variety of prizes such as Smallest Dog, Largest Dog, Best in Costume and Best in Tricks.
Teacher Pat Therault, who organizes the event, said the Canine Collection is one of the school’s most popular events. It gives families and students a chance to get together for a fun day while practicing social distancing.
“Each dog gets to parade in a circle while a student note is read as to why their dog is special to them,” Ms. Therault said. Staff members are also invited to bring their dog.
Each registered canine will receive a goodie bag filled with dog treats and a chew toy. For those dogs having trouble behaving a “Take 5” area will be available to help pooches regroup.
