Self-reflection can help us process our thoughts and feelings, and strengthen our resilience. Poyner, Ed.D., suggests spending a few moments in self-reflection, and asking yourself the following questions:

  1. How am I feeling about (a topic)?
  2. Do I need to do anything differently?

Poyner says, “If you need to make some changes in your life, reflect upon them. If nothing changes, nothing is going to change.”
