On this rainy Thursday, Glenholme’s students eagerly arrived for their first day at school. The teachers lined up outside their classrooms to welcome them. For some, it was a return back after summer vacation, and for many new students, it was their first time in the school program.
Executive Director Noah Noyes commented, “We are thrilled to kick off the new school year and have our entire school community back together although a bit different. We look forward to a wonderful year ahead. As always, our students and staff have risen to the occasion to provide outstanding educational opportunities for all students.”
Mike Cipriani, Dean of Students added, “We are very excited for our first day of school and even more excited that we can offer all of our great services as well.”
Meanwhile, a transition is underfoot. After 38 years as Education Director, Sharon Murphy will be retiring in February and Morgan Fulks will be taking over. For now, they are working together to assure a smooth changeover. So, in addition to the children’s first day, today is Miss Murphy’s “last first day,” and Mr. Fulks’ “first first day.” Welcome everyone!
