For Election Day, students prepared a biographical video on President Trump and Vice President Biden. All Glenholme students watched it during the morning hours.
Yesterday, throughout the day, students were given the opportunity to vote. They had registered earlier and had to get photo IDs to take to the “polls” to prove their identity. Students were broken up into districts to simulate the Electoral College. And when it was done, the votes were counted by popular vote and by district.
At the Glenholme School, Vice President Biden won, 59 to 19, and by district, 7 to 1. The mock election was designed to help students get used to the newness of the voting experience. At least three of the Glenholme students voted this year by absentee ballots and one day-student voted in person on Election Day.
