Students perform at the Skitch Henderson Museum

Sunday, December 13, Mr. Toy and Mr. DeLong escorted 11 students to the Skitch Henderson Museum at the Silo Hunt Hill Farm in New Milford. The students were invited to perform there as a part of their holiday tradition of inviting local schools to perform in Skitch's museum. Skitch Henderson was the musical director for NBC in the early years of the Tonight show. He and his wife Ruth were the founders of the New York Pops Orchestra, which was conducted by Skitch for several years. Mrs. Henderson was in attendance for the performance and she was delighted to meet the students. After the performance, the students were treated to homemade refreshments from the cooking school. The students look forward to more exciting experiences at the Skitch Henderson Museum and the Silo.
