Students attend National High School Choral Festival at Carnegie Hall

On Friday, March 20, 26 Glenholme students along with Mr. DeLong, Mr. Toy, and Ms. Baccash attended the 6th Annual National High School Choral Festival at Carnegie Hall. The concert included performances by the North Jersey Home School Association Chorale (Hawthorne, New Jersey), Pebblebrook High School Chamber Choir (Atlanta, Georgia), Shorewood High School Aeolian Choir (Shoreline, Washington), and Songs of Solomon: An Inspirational Ensemble (New York, New York).

Each choir performed individually, and then all 180 singers joined together with The Orchestra of St. Luke's, under the direction of Craig Jessop, to present "A Child of Our Time," by Michael Tippett. Professional soloists included soprano Angela M. Brown, contralto Meredith Arwady, tenor Russell Thomas, and bass Morris Robinson.

Everyone was inspired by what they saw, and the great sounds they heard.
