Devereux
Glenholme students enjoy
the opportunity of traveling
to different locations throughout
the year on field trips,
allowing them to experience
science, history, and culture
beyond our campus. On a
recent field trip to New
York City students visited
the Tenement Museum and
the Metropolitan Museum
of Art. Here is one student's
reflection of the trip:
We
had been studying immigrants
this semester along with
Section Five. Someone in
our class had suggested
a field trip a couple of
weeks ago and it actually
came true. My favorite part
of the trip was when we
went to the Met. It was
a long trip but when we
got there everyone was excited.
We got out of the bus, split
into our groups, and the
adventure was on. First
we had lunch at the cafeteria
where we got anything we
wanted. Then we went to
modern art, and from there
we went to Photography.
My favorite part was the
modern art section where
I saw some pretty interesting
pieces. I enjoyed all about
it, but my favorite was
the modern art section.
